Laurie is now offering individual and group supervision which is designed to meet the state of Michigan requirements for limited license professional counselors. This supervision adheres to the American Counseling Association and National Board for Certified Counselors Codes of Ethics.
The Integrated Developmental Model of supervision will be utilized to assist supervisees progress through four stages of development. At level one, Laurie will serve in the role of teacher; at level two, she will be a coach; at level three she will serve as consultant; and at level four she will be a colleague. Feedback from other supervisees will be provided. Information about and education in counseling theories and techniques will regularly be included in supervision. Case reviews, case studies, role-play, and direct observation will be utilized to determine proficiency and mastery.
Supervisees are required to provide copies of their licenses, professional liability insurance, and professional disclosure statement which must indicate that they practice under the supervision of supervisor Laurie Rudolph (as required by law). Supervisees will be required to sign a contract outlining the duties of the supervisor and supervisee, the limits and scope of confidentiality and privileged communication withing the supervisory relationship, and the fee schedule. Fees for supervision range from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour with the option of meeting one hour every week, two hours twice per month, or four hours once per month. If there are concerns regarding supervisees' professional practice with clients outside of meeting hours and in the case of an emergency, Laurie is available by phone.
